2019: My Favorite Reissues and Archival Releases

As evidenced by the sheer number of releases and songs on my previous lists, 2019 was an amazing year for new music. But there were also a number of really special reissues and archival releases! I present to you some really special reissues and archival releases: Arab Strap - Philophobia Philophobia (the fear of falling in love) is an apt name for this moody and dramatic album from Scottish band Arab Strap, originally released in 1998. Alice Clark - s/t This 1972 jazzy soul classic was remastered and reissued for Record Store Day. Not something I would typically listen to but this is fantastic. Alice Clark by Alice Clark Grauzone - Raum Reissue of Swiss band's funky, dance-y post-punk single from 1980. The intro hits like Interpol's Obstacle 1 while the rest of the song sounds like what a lot of modern bands like The Hecks and Lithics are doing.
